Partnering with Cooperatives in Bugisu & Mount Elgon

CARICO’s partnerships with cooperatives extends beyond a commitment to buy and for the cooperative to supply. We actively work, advise and monitor them to improve the quality of their crop. We have providing upfront processing equipment, have paid the cost of independent legal to support them to register their entities made introductions to banking institutions and by supporting them as buyer, this is possible.

The photos below show one cooperative celebrating their first shipment of Bugisu AAA coffee to Germany after handing in their cheque to Finance Trust Bank, a leading bank in Uganda founded in 1985 to provide micro-finance to women.
